Just like the blind man at Bethsaida (Mark 8), growth, healing and deliverance is more often a process. Sometimes in the Bible we see Jesus heal people immediatelystraight forth and even as they went from Him. But for others like myself and this blind man, sometimes a 2nd touch is required. So what do we do in-between?

I’ve been in relationship with the Most High for quite some time, and have grown considerably. One of my biggest victories has been over alcohol addiction – over 5 years ago! This freedom being a miracle in itself, there still remains more progress to be made in other areas.

Regardless of our level of faith, there will always be a struggle between the flesh and Spirit (Galatians 5). The key is to be content where we are at the moment.

I find solace in having confidence in God. This reassuring peace comes from hard study of His Word.

How do you deal with your “in-between”?

While commenting on Google+Twitter, or Facebook – can’t remember which, a friend of mine was polling about REAL love and whether or not this new guy she was dating was for real…

Being a successful bachelor for many, many years prior to getting a couple years ago at 39, I thought I’d send her my $0.02. Due to an overwhelming amount of personal messages, I thought I’d share this with all I can!

It’s really simple:

He will ALREADY have the capacity to have and fully possess the 4 p’s:

  1. Protector – At all costs, whatever it takes.
  2. Provider – At all costs, whatever it takes.
  3. Priest – Representing her to God in prayer and as head of the marriage.
  4. Prophet – Representing God to her, as head, leader and authority (which is the greatest of responsibilities)

Has your relationship with God become neglected?

After the whole Chick-Fil-A situation back in July 2012, I have been making an effort to research and support Christian owned companies.

This morning I had to jump my truck, turns out I need a battery. I remember Interstate Batteries being one of the Christian owned companies I learned about, and headed out to support them. Although WalMart was on the way, I planned to find a Interstate Battery location (which wasn’t open) to get to on lunch, so I stopped at WalMart to get some jumper cables.

The battery I needed was at WalMart, and $16 cheaper, but I didn’t mind paying extra to support a Christian owned company. Now I’m not rich yet, to this was a reasonably uncomfortable decision.

I had to get a boost at lunch to get to Interstate Battery, leaving my car running as I pulled up. I took note of the 2 other customers getting service on their obviously used Interstate batteries, but that was ok, maybe their batteries were old or poorly maintained. After waiting 10 minutes, and over hearing that the customer in front of me missed his warranty by 2 months and will have to pay for a replacement, I was helped.

Installation was $15, so I swallowed hard and said cash and carry. Then the guy said $16 core charge! That was it!!! WalMart had a Champion battery, 3yr free replacement (the Interstate Battery @ $126 had a 24 month warranty) for $110, free installation, free disposal.

After explaining this to the young man who looked at me dazed, I simply said thanks for your time and left the store.

I’m headed to WalMart, but I’m wondering, “Was I wrong?”

What would you have done? Feel free to leave a comment!

God, Creator of all

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

4 Types

  1. Storge – Affection (Parental, family love)
  2. Philla – Mental (Loyalty, equality – give and take, friends, activity, community, etc)
  3. Eros – Physical
  4. Agape – Spiritual
    1. God’s love can keep you, but cannot satisfy you physically.

5 Attributes of God’s love

  1. No fear in love
    1. 1 John 4:18
      1. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
  2. We are Conquerors
    1. Romans 8:37
      1. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
  3. NOTHING can separate us from the Love of God
    1. Romans 8:38-39
      1. For I am persuaded , that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present , nor things to come ,
      2. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  4. Love is faithful
    1. Lamentations 3:22-23
      1. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
      2. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
  5. Unlimited Supply
    1. Matthew 7:7-11
      1. Ask , and it shall be given you; seek , and ye shall find ; knock , and it shall be opened unto you:
      2. For every one that asketh receiveth ; and he that seeketh findeth ; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened .
      3. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
      4. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
      5. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

The Key to Unlimited Supply

  1. We must keep His commandments
    1. John 14:14-15
      1. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
      2. If ye love me, keep my commandments.
  2. The commandments:
    1. Matthew 22:36-40
      1. Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?
      2. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
      3. This is the first and great commandment.
      4. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
      5. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Characteristics of Loving your neighbor as yourself

  1. Do you cut yourself slack?
    1. Are you AS quick to give forgiveness as you are to receive it?
  2. Do you always air your own dirty laundry to others? (Gossip)
    1. Are you as critical, masking it as “the truth”
  3. Do you believe the best about yourself?
    1. Even though you don’t always do what you say you’re going to do
      1. Exercise
      2. Eat right
      3. Pay tithes
      4. Pay bills
      5. Stop this or stop that
    2. When others SAY they are going to do something, do you trust it?

Well, I’m glad you asked ME!

Please allow me to share little about myself…

Raised in Detroit, Michigan, 3rd child of 4 (Middle son) born to Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Stanley L. Scott, I’ve been exposed to The Ministry of the Word of God all of my life. Although making decisions contrary to my faith in Christ, I’ve learned a great deal about the consequences that follow sin and disobedience, including addiction and incarceration.

Finally accepting my call in ministry, I attended the Word of Faith Bible Training Center marking my official beginning in ministry. After graduating I served in various capacities at the Word of Faith International Christian Center Headquarter located in Southfield, MI. These capacities included involvement in the Youth Outreach Ministry as a leader, teaching practical messages from the Word of God while holding services held at several different juvenile detention facilities across Southeast Michigan. During the time I was serving in the Youth Ministry at Word of Faith Christian Center, I decided to assist my parents with the re-birth of their ministry, Salvation Temple Church now located in Hazel Park, Michigan. After establishing the youth ministry there at Salvation Temple Church, I relocated to Houston, Texas, to join my elder brother’s ministry, Faith Family Church.

Now in Houston at Faith Family Church, I established the Youth Ministry here where I actively serve today. From a combination of experience, wisdom, knowledge and anointing, I am is sharing my story and helping others establish a stronger personal relationship with God.
